Hello
I am the creator of the Shinigami no Tenshi comic series. Here I will post character sheets, conceptual art, art of my characters and works, and possibly commissions, given if I have the time to do so.

I live in Michigan USA and have lived here my whole life.
I am 27 years old.
I currently attend school full time for an Associates in Web Development and Design.
And I am a mother of one awesome little boy.

My Tools of the Trade
=================
Traditional Media & Tools- drawing paper, Bristol paper, mechanical pencils, kneaded erasers, light tables.

Digital Tools:
Wacom Intuos pen & touch (older ver.)- Price $100-150 at the time of purchase. Drawing tablet medium size.
Mac Laptop 2012- Prices $1500-1700, 15" screen.
Scanner & Printer- about $100-150. Uploading traditional art I do into the computer or USB drive.
USBs, Cloud, & External hardrives- Good practice to have your work saved in at least 3 different places. USB $20-50, Hardrive $50-100, Google Cloud-cheap.
Dafont.com- thousands of fonts created by people. Have a lot of 100% free fonts that can be used commercially.

Software:
Photoshop CC2015 (Adobe Cloud Suit)- Monthly subscription base (student discounts while attending I pay $21/mo.). All updates available when they come up, don't have to pay extra. I usually use it to change file formats and for last minute edits.

Manga Studio EX 5 (Smith Micro)- Price ~$200 (upgrade prices are cheaper). Can use this software to create comics, use a multitude of tones, can have pre-ruled guide based on paper size for bleed areas etc, multitude of textures and designs, pre-built/ buildable speech bubbles, Multitude of brushes, pens, pencils, airbrushes etc. Can clip layers, Can work multiple pages, nice color pallet, panel templates, Interface similar to Photoshop and Paint Tool Sai. I use for comic pages, Illustrations (full color and monotone) and line work.

~All the software I use are workable in layers for non destructive editing, screens and overlays.~

Below is how I do things concerning commissions to my own Original works and what is expected of my fans and future clients. Fans and prospective Clients please READ ALL of this! If you have questions or concerns please PM me.

~I am NOT responsible for your negligence or ignorance. Information about the use of my work and fan work creations of my work guidelines is provided here and on my other pages spanning across my social network page (FB), DA page, Youtube feed, and SnT site. Therefore this information is WIDELY available, if you are pursued legally it is your own fault!~

My Commission Work
================
1. I do commissions on a slot base. Once my slots are full I no longer accept requests until slots open up upon completion of commissions, there is no waitlist. Slot's are first come first serve.

2. I do NOT work for free.

3. Pricing is based on the estimated time it takes and the materials used to complete the commission. Therefore you will have to contact me with what it is that you would want done.
a. Payment is monetarily only! No points, no trades.


4. My commissions are contractual based meaning a contract will be drafted and has to be agreed upon and signed by both parties before any work is started. This is meant to protect both parties.
Contracts include: When the rights to the work is transferred, deadline(s) for the work, payment, termination fees, lawsuit fees, etc.

a. Changes can be made only during the sketch phase of the work. If you wish for changes to be made during any other phase, you are subject to a termination fee (contract kill fee) and a new contract will have to be drafted.


5. I do NOT post fan arts / do fan art commissions of Licensed Works. Some exceptions may apply.

Reasons why:
A. It's Copyright Infringement, which is Illegal (non-profit fan creation is considered illegal too)! Not only is it illegal I also respect the creators as artists and refuse to do fan art commissions without their consent due to my own principles.

B. Non-profit fan artist/ fan art/ fan fiction are(is) tolerated by the creators for the most part mainly because it's beneficial to them (free advertising) or because they are happy fans love their work so much, However not all creators will tolerate it (please be careful).

C. Creating fan art in itself is illegal to do as is selling it. The only difference is selling greatly increases the odds of the creator to take legal action against the artist because it takes sales away from them.

*Copyright infringement is no joke! Keep in mind that if you do fan creations you could be subject to paying the actual dollar amount of both damages and profits (if you're selling the fan work), paying anywhere from $200 to $150,000 for each work infringed and paying for all attorneys fees and court costs!
In more serious cases criminal charges can occur. 1-5 years in Prison and $100,00-$250,000 fine (depending on the infringer getting a misdemeanor or felony charge). Please be careful and aware of the possible repercussions related to fan works*

D. The ONLY way I can do any kind of fan art commissions is if you are able to have the creators send me an official written release to allow me to create and profit from the commission.

a. Authenticity will be verified. Fraud releases will be reported to authorities.
b. Official written releases must be in my hands before a contract will be written up.
c. It's highly unlikely you will get a release, but there is no harm in trying.

F. If you do not like these rules I set forth to respect and protect original creator's rights, there are plenty of other artist on this site who are either ignorant of the law or are willing to risk being sued for thousands by the creators.

G. I can send a link to an article concerning fan creations and copyright infringement if you PM me.

6. Original character fan art commissions can only be done if it is the original character of the person submitting a commission request. A written release of the character to use for the commission and proof that the character is yours is required. Proof that the original character is yours must be able to be checked for authenticity because authenticity of the claim will be checked prior to contract.

a. Written releases must be in my hands before a contract will be written up.
b. This includes ATC and ACEO commissions.

7. I reserve the right to decline commissions with or without reason. Ecchi / Hentai / Nudes will be declined.

Work I Create and Post Here
======================
I love my fans and that you love my work. I love that you feel my work is worthy enough of your time to create fan creations. My work wouldn't be able to continue without you! However I implore all of my fans to please be respectful of my wishes as a creator.

1. All of the art I create and post here belongs to me. You are not allowed to reproduce or transmit any of my work anywhere without my permission. Trust me I can find it if it's posted anywhere on the internet because I took measures to be able to track my works.

a. If I find my work anywhere that I have not posted I will issue a warning to cease and desist. Failure to comply will result in legal action against you. Favoring on DA pages excluded.
*Ask for permission first, getting my okay is not hard to do*
*If we are friends- Just because we are friends it doesn't give you any form of special permissions to post, sell fan art/ fictions, and or feature my work without my consent*

b. If I find my art anywhere on the internet where you are openly taking credit for the work the typical warning will be skipped straight to legal action.

c. If you have gotten my consent to re-use or transmit my work you must credit me and post that you had to receive consent from the creator to post it. I like my work to be advertised, 9/10 I will give permission if asked.

2. I allow fan arts and fan fictions of my works only if you are not profiting from it in any way. If I find fan art and or fan fiction of my work that you are profiting from you will receive a cease and desist order. Failure to comply will result in legal action against you. This includes in person sales at conventions!

3. If you my fans see someone parading my work around without crediting me, claiming my works as their own, or selling fan art/ fan fiction of my work I would greatly appreciate that you please report this activity to me.

4. If you want to re-use or feature my work, please ask to me for permission first. If you commissioned work from me and it's of my OC's you can feature the commission on your DA page only, other places must have my permission first. Commissions not of my OC's transfer of the right's and work is made upon completion of payment, therefore you can display it as you will.

5. ATC / ATCEOS of my original works- I do plan to make some of my own characters, however they are purchase only. I do not trade them to gain one in return, I don't collect them.


6. Work I post here that is for sale will be marked accordingly. If something isn't marked then it's not for sale.

Concerning Other Matters
=================


At this time I am not taking commissions due to a shortage of free time.

Gifts are the only things I will do for free for others, however I only do them for family, friends I know on a personal basis and for artists that I am a fan of.




Here's Why:
1. I do not offer Kiribans. I see them as an underhanded way to increase page views. If your art is good enough and you promote it well enough then you can get page views. Kiriban's do not promote they are merely a bribe for people to come to a page in the hopes of receiving something out of it.

2. I don't do Adoptapables of any kind. I do things here in a business fashion and I expect to be paid for my work. None of my work is to be adopted out.

3. I don't do Requests. For reasoning refer to 2.

4. Art Slave- I don't entirely understand this concept however from what I do understand, I will not be doing them.

5. Collabs- I don't have the time to work collaborations, Sorry.

6. Contest and Auctions- I do not host contests or auctions myself. In the event of owning a group Contests and Auctions would be conducted in this case. Groups that I am a member of I may participate in them depending on the guidelines and topics. As for outside auctions I don't openly enter my work in, however if it's for say a good cause I may consider doing it. If it's not for a good cause I ask that you do not request my art in auctions.
a. If I made a commission for you, you are not allowed to enter the piece in auctions or contests.

I know I may seem like a stickler for these request, however the fact is the money I make from my original works and commissions feeds my family. Selling fan art or fan fiction of my work is directly competing with my sales. This isn't fair to me as the originator whom is competing with every other comic artist / series out there for sales to have to compete with my own work.

Many fan artist I see are extremely talented, talent that they can or could use to create and profit from their own original works and ideas.

I am only asking that you respect me and my work as an artist just as I would respect you and your work as an artists.
